Rosenthal meets Versace - Medusa Amplified Short Sets

The short sets pay tribute to Versace‘s institutional Medusa, reimagined and amplified in fresh pastel colors. The iconic head is imposingly emblazoned in green, blue, pink and orange on Rosenthal plates framed by a classic meander band in gold.

The short sets consist of various plates, cups and a cereal bowl in all four colors, namely Green Coin, Blue Coin, Pink Coin and Orange Coin, and are complemented by a coffee pot, teapot, creamer and sugar bowl as well as three vases.

Rosenthal meets Versace - Medusa Amplified Multicolor

Influenced by Donatella Versace's love of music, especially hip-hop, the Medusa Amplified prints reimagine Medusa as a music icon. The design visualizes what Medusa would feel like as a song, rhythm, melody or beat. The Rosenthal meets Versace collection plays with bold, spring-like colors, contrasts and size variations of the iconic Medusa.

With 30 colors, the extremely elaborate décor, the filigree ornamentation of the Medusa heads and the meander bands around them were a great challenge for the experienced lithographers at Rosenthal in realising the décor designs that require a great deal of knowhow and precision. The Medusa Amplied Gift collection contains three vases in different sizes, a place plate, an ash tray, a small platter and a small plate as well as the popular scented candle.

Crafted in Germany from premium porcelain, Rosenthal meets Versace's La Medusa vase collection is modelled on Versace´s successful "La Medusa" handbag adorned with a Medusa plaque – the same décor that was discovered on the doors of the brand's first headquarters in Milan.

A special detail is the curved offset of the top with the iconic Medusa and fine decorative stitching as on the leather handbag. The cylindrical vases made of coloured porcelain are available in three sizes in pastel shades of pink, green and blue.

At the center of the Medusa Madness porcelain collection is the iconic Versace symbol - the mythical Medusa. The elegant porcelain vases are available in three distinct sizes – each embellished with a three-dimensional Medusa depicted in lustrous gold.

The iconic Break the Bank Medusa silhouette is reinterpreted – this time as a vase. The three-dimensional Medusa was first envisioned as a bank, perfect for saving any loose change and ideal as a gift. This season, the slit on the top of Medusa’s head is made larger, fitting perfectly an array of flowers. Crafted out of the finest porcelain, the legendary silhouette comes in four sizes and available in five tones: glazed white, black, fuchsia, silver and gold.
