A new parking experience for Manchester: Q-Park Deansgate North now open for business
Q-Park is proud to announce the opening of a flagship three-storey parking facility at Deansgate North, Manchester.
The site welcomed its first customers on June 29th and offers a fully-serviced, highly secure 24/7 parking option for the shopping district of Manchester. It rounds out Q-Park’s portfolio in the region after the successful acquisition of the lease on the Piccadilly Place facility last month, and brings the total number of Q-Park-managed sites in the area to nine.
Located on Chapel Street in the shadow of Manchester Cathedral, the Deansgate North carpark is the culmination of many years of hard work on the Embankment project - a major business and retail redevelopment in North Manchester. Its prime location close to the Manchester Arena (MEN), Arndale shopping centre and Victoria rail station makes it the perfect choice for professionals and shoppers alike.
Q-Park Deansgate North contains all of the trademark Q-Park features that customers have come to expect. From complimentary baby buggy and umbrella loans, to dedicated hosts who are professionally trained in customer service.
Q-Park has always embraced innovative technology, and the new facility will feature Tap and Go entry and exit points so that customers can pay for parking with their contactless bank cards rather than buying a ticket, and EV charging bays as part of a continuing pledge to support the promotion of environmentally-friendly, zero-emissions vehicles.
One of Q-Park’s key differentiators is the size of its bays. Each space in the Deansgate North facility is much wider than average, making parking and manoeuvring easier. With up to two feet of clearance, the chances of bumps and prangs are greatly reduced.
As part of its ongoing commitment to security, Q-Park have introduced several features to make the new site as well-protected as possible, giving customers extra peace of mind. There are speed gates over the entrance that will only open when a car approaches them; CCTV cameras, including on the entrance barriers and doors; and magnetic pedestrian door locks that will only open when a customer scans their ticket.
Q-Park is excited to be helping drive the future success of the area, and continues to be an influential part of the Embankment redevelopment. With more businesses and retail outlets joining the project all the time, Q-Park has introduced unique monthly season-ticketsfor local employees, as well as other long-term parking plans for regular users.
