Recruitment process for new Chair of Post Office commences

The recruitment process for a new Chair of the Post Office has begun today (28 March).

Tim Parker, the present chair, concludes his second full term as Chairman in the autumn. The Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, as the shareholder of Post Office, is conducting the search for his successor.

Tim Parker became Chairman of the Post Office on 1 October 2015. His first term was for three years and his second term will have been for four years when it concludes in October 2022.

The Chairman continues to focus on helping the executive team reset the Post Office as a commercial retailer fulfilling a UK-wide social purpose as well as ensuring that full and fair compensation is paid to people affected by the historical Horizon IT scandal.
