With Sustano, Duravit is presenting its first recyclable shower tray made from DuraSolid® Nature. In addition to its flat, rimless design, the shower tray range offers a wide variety of sizes for installation flush with the floor in conjunction with an integrated flush outlet cover. According to the manufacturer, the recyclable mineral composite combines excellent qualities such as low weight, easy adaptability and cutting at the construction site, robustness, easy cleaning, a pleasant feel, UV-resistance and matt surfaces with anti-slip properties. In keeping with the life-cycle principle, Sustano shower trays can be returned to Duravit or a local recycling centre at the end of their useful life. The recycled materials can then be reused to manufacture new shower trays or for industrial applications, e.g. the production of pivot bearings. (Photo: Duravit)
