The Samsung Galaxy S3 Beats The Lumia 900 For Screen Technology

There have been several excellent Android smartphones released this year but one of the very best is the new Samsung Galaxy S3. This excellent phone offers some super specification so we thought we would see how it fairs against the ultimate Windows handset, the new Nokia Lumia 900. Here we look at display technology and storage options on both models to see how they compare.

One of the most impressive aspects of the new Samsung Galaxy S3 is the superb screen that it incorporates. The model makes use of a new Pen Tile AMOLED display which measures 4.8 inches. This is a great size of screen perfect for multiple uses such as mobile gaming and web browsing. The screen can produce a very good resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and when you combine this figure with the screen size you are left with a super pixel density of 306 pixels per inch. This makes the model one of the leading phones in this department. The Samsung screen offers a very bright picture which benefits from great viewing angles and excellent quality in sunny conditions, an area where many models can falter. The Nokia Lumia 900 utilises a smaller 4.3 inch display that also makes use of the excellent AMOLED screen technology. Resolution wise the new Nokia is lower than the Samsung at 480 x 800 pixels and despite the smaller screen size this results in a pixel density of just 217PPI. Nokia have added some technology of their own to this display in the form of the new Clearblack system which produces naturally deep colours and superb contrast ratios.

When we take a look at the storage capacity of both models the new Samsung Galaxy S3 easily outshines its rival. The model is available with three different sizes of internal storage capacity. Most consumers will opt for the 16GB version but for those looking for a little more space the 32GB version may prove a worthwhile investment. The premium 64GB model offers a massive amount of storage perfect for users who want to take full advantage of all of the multi media features that the model boasts. All versions also feature a micro SD card. The Nokia Lumia 900 is a much more basic model in terms of storage capacity. The phone comes supplied with 16GB capacity which is a respectable figure but the phone does lack a micro SD card slot so their is no potential for expansion. The handset features 512MB of RAM memory which is considerably lower than the 1GB boasted by the S3.

Despite being two of the mos advanced handsets on their respective platforms the Samsung Galaxy S3 easily comes out on top in this duel. The large screen benefits from an excellent resolution while the multitude of storage options gives consumers the opportunity to chose the device that is perfect for them.
