Screens And Storage Compared - Samsung Galaxy Note And Apple iPhone 4S
The Samsung Galaxy Note is one of the most unique smartphones currently on the market. Thanks to its impressive spec list, it is well known for its versatility. In this article, I am going to compare this device with the popular iPhone 4S, paying particular attention to its touchscreen technology and internal storage.
When you compare the Samsung Galaxy Note and the iPhone 4S, one of the first things that you will notice is the difference between the size of the touchscreens. The Samsung Galaxy Note has one of the biggest smartphone screens on the market, measuring up at a whopping 5.3 inches. Although this screen is very large, it still offers outstanding display quality thanks to a pixel resolution of 800x 1280 along with super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen technology similar to that found in the Samsung Galaxy S2 and the new Galaxy S3 model. In comparison, the screen of the iPhone 4S is considerably smaller at 3.5 inches. However, its smaller dimensions contribute to the outstanding display quality of the device. It is a pixel resolution of 640x 106 is packed into the small dimensions of the screen, a whopping pixel density of 330 pixels per inch is created, resulting in the renowned retina display, which gets its name from the fact that the human eye cannot distinguish between individual pixels on the screen.
When it comes to internal storage, both phones impress. This is one of the most important, yet often overlooked features of smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy Note is offered in both 16GB and 32GB variants, both of which come with an integrated microSD slot. This allows users to insert a memory card of up to 32 GB, meaning that they can double or even triple the onboard storage of the phone. This makes it the ideal choice for anyone who stores their music collection on their phone, regularly downloads apps from the Google Play Store, or has lots of photos and videos stored on the phone. The iPhone 4S does not have microSD slot, however it comes in the same storage variants as the Galaxy Note, but with the addition of a 64GB model. Users are also able to utilise the iCloud service which allows them to access your files which are wirelessly stored and can then be accessed from any of their compatible Apple devices, which removes the need for expandable physical storage.
Of course, both the Samsung Galaxy Note and the Apple iPhone 4S boast a whole host of other impressive features. In my upcoming articles, I will compare some of the other features of these two outstanding smartphones.
