The new innovation in uninterruptible power supplies is the Trio DC UPS from Phoenix Contact for machine building. The combined switched-mode power supply unit incorporates the functions of a UPS and a power supply in one compact housing, thus saving space in the control cabinet.

The device enables direct diagnostics with multicolor LEDs and signal contacts, providing a clear status display. Tool-free wiring with Push-in connection technology ensures quick and easy handling. With its dynamic boost and intelligent battery charging behavior, the Trio DC UPS is particularly robust and reliable. Combining a power supply and UPS in one housing saves space while also providing a very high level of efficiency. As an option, the UPS can be parameterised and monitored intelligently via interfaces such as RS-485 or USB-C. The battery status (SOH) can be easily read via the LEDs and the battery can be controlled via a button on the front. An external temperature sensor ensures intelligent battery charging behavior. The dynamic boost with an overload capacity of 150% from the power supply and up to 400% from the battery ensures that systems can continue to operate reliably even during critical moments.
