Flowers & Aquarelle - a new wallpaper collection from Mr Perswall

With summer now arriving, Mr Perswall is launching the Flowers & Aquarelle wallpaper collection, a mini collection that conjures up thoughts of warm tropical summer evenings. A collection of delicate patterns where the common denominator is leaves and flowers spreading out over slightly hazy watercolour backgrounds. A collection for people who want to create a tranquil and harmonious feel when decorating, and the sense of a summer that lasts all year round.

This collection has been produced in collaboration with designer Magdalena Lundkvist, who has already created some of Mr Perswall’s most popular patterns, which can be found in the Shades collection.

“It has been very exciting to renew our partnership with Magdalena,” says Amanda Nordblad, Head of Design at Mr Perswall. “Magdalena’s designs are loved by many and the desire to surround yourself with leaves and flowers is a trend that is only going to get stronger.”

The patterns featured in the collection are largely hand-painted, with broad expanses of pleasing pastel brush strokes. Sophisticated and soft, which enables them to blend into most rooms and spaces. This is how Magdalena describes her work with patterns for Flowers and Aquarelle:

“Foliage and flowers are always present, as far as I am concerned. I constantly collect images and draw inspiration from my immediate surroundings and my travels. Inspiration that may then remain dormant until the time is right for it to blossom. Here I’ve been able to draw on an ideas bank packed with wonderfully inspirational floral, summery and, to a certain extent, Art-Deco patterns that have been given expression in aquarelle – a method of watercolour painting.”
