Three charged following Champions League Final pitch invasion

Three people arrested following a pitch invasion during the Champions League Final at Wembley on Saturday evening have been charged.

Yevhenii Lubnenko, 29 (12.01.95) of no fixed address will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 3 June.

David Carneckij, 28 (30.05.96) of Walworth Road, SE17 will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 10 July.

A 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, will appear at Highbury Corner Youth Court on Monday, 24 June.

All three have been charged with going onto the playing area at a football match contrary to Sec 4 of the Football (Offences) Act 1991.

Enquiries continue into two other people arrested in connection with the same incident.
