Met officer charged with offences

A Met officer will appear at court charged with controlling and coercive behaviour and actual bodily harm.

Detective Constable Lindsay Blackman, attached to the Specialist Crime Command, will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 18 July.

DC Blackman was charged in June following an investigation by the Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards.

He has been suspended from duty.
