Man charged with rape in Edgware

A man has been charged with rape by officers investigating an incident in Edgware.

At 22:25hrs on Thursday, 27 June, a member of the public reported that a woman had been found partially clothed in Manor Park Gardens, Edgware. The victim, aged in her 20s, was walking along the road when a man jumped out and dragged her into the garden before attacking her.

Following a fast-paced investigation, officers arrested a man in Warrington on Saturday, 29 June. He was taken into custody at a London police station.

On Monday, 1 July, Kyle Kinsella, 26, of Arlington Drive, Warrington was charged with rape and intentional strangulation. He will appear in custody the same day at Willesden Magistrates’ Court.

The victim continues to be supported by specialist officers.
