Appeal for witnesses following fatal collision in Tower Hamlets

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Tower Hamlets.

Police were called at 00:06hrs on Sunday, 16 June to reports of a collision involving a bus and a pedestrian on St Pauls Way at the junction of Burdett Road, E3.

Officer attended the scene alongside colleagues from the London Ambulance Service.

A 24-year-old man was treated at the scene and was taken to hospital for treatment. Despite the best efforts of the medical team, the victim sadly died on Thursday, 4 July.

His family continue to be supported by specialist officers.

The driver of the bus stopped at the scene and is assisting officers with their enquiries.

No arrests have been made.
