UPDATED: Appeal for witnesses continues after arrests made in fatal Biggin Hill collision

Appeal continues for witnesses to fatal collision in Biggin Hill after two arrests made.

At around 23:58hrs on Sunday, 9 June, an off-duty police officer came across a motorbike that had been involved in a collision in Main Road, Biggin Hill.

Two males, both teenagers, were provided with first aid prior to the arrival of London Ambulance Service.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, one of the males, aged 17, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been informed and will be supported by specialist officers.

A 17-year-old male [A] was taken to hospital, where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening. He was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and taken to a south London police station where he was later released under investigation.

An 18-year-old man [B] was arrested on 10thJune on suspicion of Causing death by dangerous driving. He was taken to a south London police station and was subsequently bailed pending further enquiries.

Enquires continue to establish the full circumstances of the collision.

The Met’s investigation is led by officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Catford.
