Appeal to trace owners of stolen property
We are looking to reunite the owners of stolen property with their items after two males were arrested and stolen goods recovered following an incident in Birkenhead on Thursday, 13 December.
At around 2.35am, officers stop checked two males following reports of an attempted burglary in the Moreton area.
Following a search of a suspect’s home address, suspected stolen items were recovered including Silth saw and Extreme hammer drill bolt croppers (pictured below).
A 22-year-old man from Liscard and a 16-year-old male from Birkenhead were both arrested on suspicion of going equipped for theft of a vehicle and attempt theft of a vehicle. The 16-year-old male was further arrested on suspicion of burglary.
They have since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
Detective Inspector Mike Dalton said: "The items stolen are power tools and equipment, and we believe they may have been taken from sheds and garages. We would appeal to anyone who believes one of the items may be theirs to check their sheds, garages and outhouses to see if they could belong to them.
"If you believe any of the items may be yours, please contact us so that we can verify the rightful owners."
