Press release -

"Family Life" to colour up Art Quake Kyoto. The Japan Creativity Biennale.

Marcel Schreur has been invited to participate with three of his works at Art Quake Kyoto. It is the first time that the original Dutch artist will exhibiting in Japan. From the 16th to the 22nd of March the Kyoto museum is the perfect platform for the Japan Creativity Biennale. Kyoto is the cultural and artistic heart of Japan. Artists from all over the globe are expressing their desire for peace. Inspiring many.

Thirty five artists, from twenty countries in Asia, the Middle East, Europe and around the world, have brought paintings, sculptures and other works they have created along the theme of “peace”, and are presenting these works at the 5th Floor Gallery of The Museum of Kyoto.

This exhibition was organized by Rowena Martinez Ulayan, a female painter and curator from the Philippines who currently lives in the Turkish metropolis of Istanbul. Almost none of the works in this exhibition have ever been shown in Japan. The artists with their diverse cultural backgrounds all have a fervent wish for “peace".
