London Art Biennale a great success." Life is Beautiful". Indeed.

Last weekend saw the end of the London Art Biennale in the Old Town Hall in Chelsea. Thousands of visitors experienced an extraordinary blend of multicultural art. 5 continents, 40 countries and 140 artists found it to be the perfect platform and meeting place to interact with each other and the public. An overwhelming response to Marcel Schreur's artwork "Life is beautiful!" A fitting reflection.

Immense texture, a wide colour palette and interesting contrasts are his hallmark. Freedom of movement his domain. " I love life." He says and "I bleed this zest for life onto the canvas. I believe that to be my call. To love life, to be free and move accordingly." Young and old alike are intrigued by his work. He goes on "The reaction from the young ones are most important to me. Their approval is my benchmark."

The original Dutch artist, living and working in London, shows his work in New York in February and in Kyoto in March. His friends call him jokingly Marcel von Global. The work of this up and coming artist is on the move.

His work can be found at Gagliardi Gallery on the Kings Road in Chelsea.  www.GagliardiGallery.org
