Velleuer triples prominent Stihl award

The German Lesjöfors company Velleuer, situated close to Düsseldorf, was recently honored “Supplier of the Year” by Stihl. A prestigious award Velleuer received for the third time.

Andreas Stihl, Germany, is the world-leading manufacturer of motor chain saws and a wide range of outdoor power tools which are known for their reliability. At headquarters at Waiblingen, near Stuttgart, Stihl´s CEO Dr. Bertram Kandziora honored the suppliers of the year.

Award for top suppliers
The award “Supplier of the Year” is given to suppliers who are matching the high demands of competence in product development, quality and partnership in a commendable way. For Velleuer, it was the third time the company received this award. Velleuer supplies Stihl with springs and wire forms of every kind as well as stampings and safety parts.
“For us receiving this award for the third time from a customer with a worldwide reputation is a first class proof. It strengthens our ambition to be a supplier with high performance in price, quality and delivery precision. We see that early design support and project management are a solid base for successful cooperation,” says Frank Jahn, Director Operations at Velleuer.

Velleuer, founded in 1905, is a member of the Lesjöfors Group since 2011. The company is a spring supplier to a wide range of manufacturers of branded goods and to the automotive industry, producing every kind of spring made from wire and strip material.
