Elves on hand to help for LLA's busiest ever Christmas

London Luton Airport (LLA) is expecting over 475,000 passengers to travel through the airport between Friday 22 December and Wednesday 3 January, making this the airport’s busiest Christmas in its 79-year history. The busiest days will be Friday 22 December and Friday 29 December, when over 45,000 travellers will pass through each day.

The top destinations over the Christmas period this year are:

  • Amsterdam
  • Geneva
  • Warsaw
  • Barcelona
  • Budapest

With more passengers than ever before, a team of elves will help spread the festive cheer in the terminal by running activities over the Christmas period. An augmented reality treasure hunt allows passengers to win instant prizes from a range of retail partners, while customers who take a “S-elf-ie” with the BLIPPAR app have the chance to win a pair of return easyJet flights to a destination of their choice in LLA’s Jingle the Elf competition.

To ensure an efficient journey through security, passengers travelling through LLA this Christmas should familiarise themselves with what they can take in their hand luggage before their trip. See more here
