IAM RoadSmart responds to latest DfT statistics

IAM RoadSmart Director of Policy and Standards, Nicholas Lyes, said:

“While there has been some positive progress in reducing fatalities and serious injuries, the reality is that the figures remain stubbornly high and there is a worrying year-on-year rise in the number of over-70s killed on our roads. We again call on the UK Government to publish a revised road safety strategy which both sets targets for casualty reductions and addresses specific challenges around driving skills.”
