On 29th May 2014, Hitachi Rail Europe Ltd. celebrated the construction of the steel frame at its Hitachi Rail Vehicle Manufacturing Facility in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham. Phil Wilson, Julie Finley, Andrew Constantine and Keith Jordan were presented with celebratory podgers (a specialist tool used for erecting scaffolding and steel scenery).
