Cricklewood residents have taken to social media to share their delight at a bold new sign adorning the railway bridge just outside the Thameslink station.
Despite thunderstorms, paintwork was completed over the weekend with the new sign highlighting Cricklewood as a destination in its own right.

GTR welcomes funding announcement for step-free access at stations

Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) has welcomed the announcement that seven stations will receive funding to make them step-free and accessible to all its passengers. A further four stations where earlier bids for funding were initially deferred have now been given the green light.

​Five young people from Flitwick, Leagrave, Luton and Cricklewood, hoping to get a foothold on the employment ladder, have been given a job by Thameslink after graduating from a scheme the rail company runs with the Prince of Wales' charity, The Prince's Trust.
