Lewes bonfire celebrations - important information

The Lewes Bonfire celebrations will be taking place on the evening of Thursday 5 November 2015.

Southern will be operating a normal scheduled service to and from Lewes this year but It is expected that evening trains via Lewes will be very busy indeed.

Please note that cycles will not be permitted on Southern services after 16.00 between Brighton and Eastbourne.

A queuing system will be in place at Brighton, London Road, Moulsecoomb, Falmer and Lewes stations from early evening until the end of service.

The last trains from Lewes will depart as follows:

• To Brighton 23:55
• To Eastbourne 23:55
• To Hastings 23:55
• To Seaford 23:58
• To Gatwick Airport 22:40
• To London Victoria 22:40
• To Haywards Heath 23.00

Please allow extra time for your journey and note that it may not be possible to catch your first choice of train.
