Press release -

How many Bexhills are there? at least three!

ACoRP's Kevin Barry (centre) with two members of Southern's Maintenance Team

Local Bexhill artist, Louise Kenwood recently visited the towns of Bexhill in Australia and Canada and took picures of her stay at these towns. Louise was keen to be part of Southern's Art On the Line project which is in many of the stations on the Marshlink Line, and, as a result, an exhibition of Louise's work can now be seen at Bexhill station on the ramps leading down to platforms 1 and 2. The work shows the Australian and Canadan 'other' Bexhills. The exhibition will be at the station until the 5th January 2015.

Kevin Barry the Community Rail Development Officer for the Marshlink line said “ there has been a lot of interest from visitors and local residents as many people did not know there was more than one Bexhill never mind two!”

This project was part funded by the Arts Council for England and the Association of Community Rail Partnerships (ACoRP).
