Our featured job of the week is for a leading.NHS Foundation Trust who provide a comprehensive mental healthcare service for residents of Birmingham and Solihull, and to communities in the West Midlands and beyond. They operate out of more than 50 sites and serve a culturally and socially diverse population of 1.3 million spread over 172 square miles, have an annual budget of more than £230 million and a dedicated workforce of over 4,000 staff.
The Trust now have a new and exciting opportunity that has been created on their Trust Board, an Executive Director of Strategic Partnerships. This outstanding opportunity to join a high profile and forward thinking organisation will give the post-holder the responsibility for leading the development of existing strategic partnerships, as well as identifying & driving forward new innovative and exciting collaborations.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, the successful post-holder will have well-developed influencing & networking skills, and will work in close collaboration with NHS and non-NHS partners. They will focus on developing the Trust’s reputation as an exemplar provider of mental health services and a leading exponent of innovative approaches in tackling inequality.
As a Trust Board Director the post shares responsibility, with fellow Executive Directors, for the overall strategic direction and performance of the Trust, and they will play a full part in Board business.
This will be an extremely significant role in helping to build strong, exciting and a more sustainable future for the services the Trust provides to some of the most vulnerable people in society.
The successful post-holder will have extensive experience of working on transformation change programmes; significant commercial and business development experience; and senior leadership experience particularly in overseeing strategic change.
