Record-breaking England cricketer Katherine Sciver-Brunt and the ECB’s Head of Disability Cricket Ian Martin have been recognised for their services to the sport in the King’s Birthday Honours.
Katherine, who retired last year after a 19-year England career, is awarded an OBE for services to women’s cricket and to the community in Yorkshire, while Ian receives an MBE for services to sport a
England Men’s Physical Disability (PD) team have announced the appointment of Chris Highton as Head Coach and Lloyd Tennant as Assistant Head Coach.
The pair join the England Men’s PD set-up on a two-year contract, with a wealth of knowledge and experience from across the professional game.
Chris Highton has been with the Men’s PD team for 10 years, being first introduced to the side in 2014
The England Men’s Deaf and England Men’s Visually Impaired teams will host India across June and July this summer.
The seven-match Deaf series begins on June 18 at The County Ground, Derby, and then moves to Kidderminster, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire before finishing up in Leicestershire on June 27.

The competition’s final will be held at Sophia Gardens for the very first time, ahead of England Men’s second T20I with Australia on September 13, 2024. Once again it will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
