India Women win second Vitality IT20 at Hove

India Women 148-4 beat England Women 140-8 by eight runs

India Women won the second Vitality IT20 at Hove to leave the multi-format series delicately poised at 8-6 to England going into the final match at Chelmsford.

England limited the visitors to 148-4 from their 20 overs, a good fightback after Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana had got their side off to a quick start, but despite being 106-2 in the 14th over of their reply Heather Knight’s team fell eight runs short.

The third Vitality IT20 will be played on Wednesday.
