England Men’s Deaf and Visually Impaired squads to host India this summer

The England Men’s Deaf and England Men’s Visually Impaired teams will host India across June and July this summer.

The seven-match Deaf series begins on June 18 at The County Ground, Derby, and then moves to Kidderminster, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire before finishing up in Leicestershire on June 27.

England Men’s Visually Impaired (VI) team also have a three-match series with India’s VI side as they prepare for the VI Ashes in Brisbane later this year.

Both series and all international disability fixtures will be live-streamed on the England and Wales Cricket Board website and YouTube channel.

England Men’s Physical Disability (PD) team, whose most recent series ended in a 3-2 defeat in India, are expected to have an international series later this winter, details yet to be confirmed.

England Men’s Learning Disability squad – who most recently won the tri-series against Australia and South Africa in the winter of 2023 – will play domestic and representative fixtures this summer.

England Men’s Deaf Captain, George Greenway, said: “I’m really looking forward to my first home series as England captain. It’s such an honour to lead this team and we’re ready to go up against India. It will be a hugely competitive series for both nations.

“It’s a big summer for us and the VI squad, India are tough opponents but we’re in a really great position to bring the game to them in home conditions and come out on top.”
