Superheroes gave SSAB a super fair
The superheroes of steel. That has been a focus for SSAB during this year’s Elmia Subcontractor. The company’s presence at the fair has also been a great success with almost 400 leads in the first three days alone.
During Elmia Subcontractor SSAB is marketing 11 of its brands as the superheroes of steel in order to explain the properties of each material.
“We’ve had a huge number of good visitors and with Friday still to come we have almost 400 leads, which meets our high-set targets,” says Lasse Bengtsson, marketing manager for Sweden, Norway and Denmark at SSAB Europe. “The placement and appearance of our stand and our colleagues’ hard work have given us a super result of our participation in the fair.”
As well as marketing its own brands, SSAB has also focused on sustainability during Elmia Subcontractor. Together with Vattenfall and LKAB, SSAB has launched a project called Hybrit to develop a globally unique hydrogen gas process. The aim of the sustainability work is to achieve a fossil-free steel industry by 2045.
“It sounds like a huge project but we’re choosing to invest in sustainable alternatives all the time,” Bengtsson says.
