City game changer joins elephant communications Advisory Board
elephant communications has appointed City grandee and market commentator David Norman to its Advisory Board.
Former CEO of Credit Suisse Asset Management, David has spent the last 20 years in leadership roles for a wide range of top City institutions including: Insight Investment, Morley Fund Management, Prudential and Friends Provident. He is currently CEO of TCF Investment and has led debate on costs as the investment industry’s elephant in the room.
A regular commentator in the national press, David is a highly regarded industry leader, with a strong track record in devising growth and turn-around strategies for major companies, directing major change management programmes and delivering best practice and culture change based on deep customer insights.
David will work with elephant founders Guy Bellamy and Lindsay Marino on the consultancy’s evolving service offer and he will also provide senior level consultancy to clients. This follows the move of Celia Hall, a former Medical Editor of the Daily Telegraph to elephant earlier in July.
Commenting on his role with elephant, David Norman said: “I’ve known Guy for more than a decade and he’s the raw and unwrapped ideas man. In joining forces with former colleague Lindsay, they have created something quite different and the calibre of clients choosing elephant tells its own story. The elephant offer and ethos gives clients something distinct and in this market it’s bright, smart approaches that clients need. I’m really looking forward to helping the elephants deliver just this.”
Guy Bellamy, Managing Director at elephant communications commented: “David is a breakthrough thinker, a complete one-off. He has a brain the size of a small country and a great talent at boiling complex issues down to what really matters. Over the last decade, he has changed thinking in markets. If ever there was an advisory director we could bring in that has shared values on driving change and big thinking, David would be that man. That’s the reason he was out first phone call and we’re really excited about working together and delivering something special for clients.”
