elephant visits University of Exeter business school
The relative influences of technology and economic slowdown on UK media habits were assessed on Friday, when elephant communications visited the University of Exeter business school.
The lecture given to postgraduates in business studies and marketing was the first of a number of university sessions that elephant communications has been invited to deliver over the winter and spring months.
During the session, highlights from two new elephant research studies were shared. The first explored the 2012 drivers for change in media habits and current affairs outlook - and the implications on business decision makers and marketing professionals were discussed. This was followed by an overview of the new Austerity Britain research, which will see four updates published during 2012.
Given the two founding directors of elephant communications are both graduates of the University of Exeter, it seemed fitting to start this year's lecture dates in the South West. The Exeter session is the start of elephant's outreach programme with the education sector during 2012.
Next week, the elephant team will run its first free advice day for small businesses, a key ingredient of its community investment programme for 2012.
