The big read…watch and listen for 2012
Britons have started 2012 wanting to ‘read up’ on a range of serious topics when following the news. Key three topics that people wanted to learn more about in the news comprised world affairs, how to stay afloat financially and UK political debate.
Specific demographic groups expressed a desire to understand how the world of investment works. Others wanted to find out how they could better juggle work and home life, and a retirement planning also featured.
elephant’s new research for 2012 suggests news is not simply a question of consuming the latest headlines as they break. More than 70% of people also want to further their knowledge and understanding of events and issues that impact them or are seen to be important. The elephant data also suggests a dual existance between people looking more at world events, yet also wanting a gritty relevance that is very local and personal.
The new material, prepared for university lectures over the next eight weeks, points to a range of major changes for 2012. Contact us for more information.
