AEG’s MaxiKlasse Oven is a Design Awards 2011 ‘Gold standard’ Winner

The AEG MaxiKlasse oven has been awarded the highest classification for an appliance in the ‘Kitchen Product Innovation’ category at the Design Awards 2011. 

The Design Awards state that ‘Products achieving the Gold standard have been judged to be real innovators within their particular product category, delivering something genuinely new to the market’.

AEG received the Gold Award for the MaxiKlasse Oven range at the Design Awards on 11th October 2011 at Lord’s Cricket Ground. The Design Awards, organised by Designer magazine, began in 2002 and have become one of the UK kitchen and bathroom industry’s most prestigious honours

AEG offers a wide range of MaxiKlasse ovens including pyrolytic, ProCombi steam and multifunction. 

Technical Innovations

More capacity in a standard niche: MaxiKlasse ovens are bigger on the inside while still fitting into a standard space. The 74-litre cavity is 4.5 cm taller and 4.2 cm wider than standard internal dimensions and the MaxiTray™ is 20% larger than a standard tray – the largest on the market.

New ThermiC°Air system: MaxiKlasse™ ovens in AEG’s Neue Kollektion offer more control, more efficiency and more capacity – all within standard external dimensions. More than 1,000 cooking tests have been performed showing an average food quality improvement of 12% with the MaxiKlasse™ ThermiC°Air System (see below), compared to the previous Hot Air System.  The ThermiC°Air system circulates the hot air evenly throughout the interior, which means that the food will cook evenly at any of the oven’s five shelf positions. More even air circulation also means the cavity heats up quicker, thereby reducing cooking temperatures by 20% and saving energy. The new MaxiKlasse™ insulation concept is also optimised for oven operating temperatures.
