DJI, the global leader in civilian drones and creative camera technology, today announces DJI O4 Air Unit Series, a digital video transmission solution offering impressive range, ultra-low latency, and crisp 4K/60fps video. The DJI O4 Air Unit weighs just 8.2 g and features a 1/2-inch image sensor capable of capturing 4K/60fps video, offering both portability and versatility. Designed for content creation, the DJI O4 Air Unit Pro boasts an enhanced imaging capability with a 1/1.3-inch image sensor capable of recording 4K/120fps video. It also supports impressive features such as a 10-bit D-Log M color mode and a 155° ultra-wide FOV¹, capturing the vast expanse of the world in unparalleled detail.

The DJI O4 Air Unit Series helps users reach new heights for immersive flights. It offers a maximum transmission distance of 10km¹ with a low latency of 20ms¹. By attaching it to a 1-inch drone, the world’s smallest racing drone capable of recording in 4K can be created.

Meanwhile, the DJI O4 Air Unit Pro meets the needs of those interested in creating cinematic masterpieces, eliminating the need for an additional action camera.

Its dual-antenna design can achieve a maximum transmission distance of 15 kilometers¹, allowing flights to go further without sacrificing video stability. Equipped with the DJI O4 video transmission system, it has an ultra-low latency of 15 milliseconds¹. The system also automatically selects the most stable frequency, ensuring precision whether soaring over mountains or navigating indoor spaces.

Unleashed Speed in the Sky with Racing Mode¹

The brand-new Racing mode on the DJI O4 Air Unit Series supports up to eight aircraft racing simultaneously for a high-speed contest through the skies, maintaining the low 20ms and 15ms latency.

Impressively Crisp, Striking Visuals

The O4 Air Unit Series utilizes H.265 video encoding, supporting high-frame-rate transmission at 1080p/100fps, ensuring clear and smooth real-time imagery, regardless of flight speed or environment. RockSteady stabilization mode allows high-speed flights to maintain steady video capture and is compatible with Gyroflow software for offline post-stabilization¹. Both models support canvas Mode and Betaflight OSD, which can be used to customize the real-time data and layout on the goggles screen to enhance flight control.
