WATCH: Control Future release dreamy end of summer video single "Nos vemos en los sueños”

Control Future, the darkwave-pop muse of Neus Ruiz, (Head honchita at Heatwave Magazine) shines the Spanish rays all over her new video single, “Nos vemos en los sueños” from her forthcoming (and slightly delayed) self-titled debut album.

It’s been an incredibly weird and challenging summer for Control Future.

 After getting picked up by a once-storied and now-defunct LA record label that vanished after shocking and nefarious accusations leveled at the ownership and its roster, Neus and Control Future found herself having to go back to her bedroom drawing board where she originally created her 7 track, post-Mancunian, “doom-pop discovery”. 

Rather than lock herself up in gloomy Amsterdam, she jetted off to her home of Spain to get back to honing her craft. As the summer of 2020 burns to a slow and hotter end, Ruiz has gifted us a dreamy and gorgeous video paint book of sunny, sensual themes that make the viewer feel like they have sand in their shoes. You can almost smell tanning oil dripping along with saltwater sweat in the blistering Spanish sun. If you were locked down or sideswiped by Covid-19 and could not book a holiday this summer, this video will take you right there for a few minutes. 

Sonic wise, “Nosvemos en los sueños” echoes the ethereal guitar bits of The Cure and Joy Division alongside an acerbic synth-beat that gallops through the hot burning sand coupled with Ruiz's voice that sounds more sweet than bitter on this track. Combining this with the visual presentation could make one hot around the collar. The good news is the aqua is never far from one to dive in and cool off on this perfect end of summer spectacle. Control Future will "see you in dreams".
