Austin's Punk Powerhouse Ready to Unleash "Generation Irrelevant" on Spanish Crowds

(Austin, Texas) – A sonic hurricane is brewing across the Atlantic. The Oxys, Austin's reigning champions of high-octane punk rock, are gearing up to unleash their latest album, Generation Irrelevant, on the unsuspecting shores of Spain. Fresh off a raucous American run alongside Dwarves, Riverboat Gamblers, and Fear, The Oxys are ready to trade Lone Star heat for Iberian fire with a scorching tour blazing across the country this January.

Mark your calendars, because The Oxys' sonic assault kicks off on 9 January at Cáceres' Boogaloo Club. From there, the band will weave their way through Zaragoza, Portugalete, Donostia, Vitoria, Unquera, Sarria, A Coruña, Bueu, Madrid, Gandía, Lleida, and Badalona, leaving a trail of burst eardrums and singalongs in their wake. Each night promises a blistering dose of anthems from Generation Irrelevant. The follow-up to last year’s debut release A Date With The Oxys, Generation Irrelevant is being widely hailed for its raw energy, blistering riffs, and anthemic choruses that'll have you howling along from the first note. It even made Number Two on Magnet magazine’s Punk Top 10 for 2023, just below Iggy Pop’s Every Loser.

The Oxys are more than just a band; they're a force of nature. Led by the fiery vocals of Phil Davis and the searing guitar work of Jason "Ginchy" Kottwitz and Genocide, The Oxys are a five-piece punk juggernaut fueled by the thunderous rhythm section of Gabriel Von Asher on bass and Chris Alaniz on drums (both of which played with Ginchy in Sylvain Sylvain and the Sylvains). Together, they're a whirlwind of sweat, fury, and pure, unadulterated rock 'n' roll.
