Músicos chilenos se presentarán en Monkey Week SON Estrella Galicia

El encuentro musical se realizará entre el 17 y 22 de noviembre y contará con la presentación The Versions (Chile) y Hogar (España), quienes participarán de los showcases que ofrecerá el lanzamiento de Hotel Records, un proyecto que tendrá foco en la escena indie con representantes en Chile, España, México y Brasil.

Otra de las actividades de Monkey Week SON Estrella Galicia será el concierto llamado «Cruzando el charco: cantes de ida y vuelta». En esta instancia, el músico chileno Sebastián Orellana (La BIG Rabia) presentará su disco Dios Perro.

CHILENOS EN MONKEY WEEK

Hard Rock, un estilo poco cultivado en Chile, es lo que mejor define en la actualidad a este trío santiaguino. The Versions es una de las bandas de la plataforma Hotel Records que tocará en su lanzamiento en Monkey Week SON Estrella Galicia. La agrupación cuenta con Samuel Maqueira (The Ganjas), Luciano Mariño (Los Chinches), Alejandro Gómez (Solar) y Álvaro Gómez (Perrosky, Guiso) y están influenciados directamente por bandas icónicas como Flaming’ Grooves, Johnny Thunders & The Heartbreakers, Iggy’s Kill City, Nikki Sudden & The Jacobites, entre otros. The Versions ha dejado el silencio y llegan con dos adelantos de su esperado nuevo disco “Calling Lucifer”: ‘Summer Romance’ y ‘Temptation’.

También debutará en Monkey Week SON Estrella Galicia, Sebastián Orellana (La BIG Rabia) presentando su nuevo disco “Dios Perro”, registro que pasea por el bolero, el blues y las baladas agridulces, todo con un tinte de folclore latinoamericano. Se grabó el año pasado en los estudios del Berklee College of Music de Valencia con la producción musical de Martín Benavides, multinstrumentista de gran prestigio en Chile y de Marcelo Wilson, colaborador de Alex Anwandter, una de las mayores figuras musicales de Chile. Orellana se presentará el domingo 22 de noviembre dentro de la programación del concierto que concluirá el encuentro musical “Cruzando el charco: cantes de ida y vuelta» que busca evidenciar la peculiar relación entre el Viejo y el Nuevo Mundo en el ideario flamenco.
