Winners of the Self Service Awards 2010

Today, the winners of the Self Service Awards have been chosen. The Self Service Awards are an annual distinction awarded to those companies and organisations that have best sustained and streamlined their customer support work with the aid of web-based self-service.

Three companies or organisations were nominated in total, within four different categories: Newcomer of the Year, Strategic Internal Support of the Year, Strategic Customer Support of the Year and Migration of the Year. These nominations are based on 462 companies and organisations in diverse areas of the private and public sectors that use ComAround's support platform - ComAround Self Service™ - internally in respect of their employees or externally on behalf of their customers. The evaluation is based on their respective performance in 2010. The jury comprises four members from ComAround. Together they account for more than 40 years' experience within the customer support area.

Apart from the award to the winners, we hope to be a source of inspiration and increase knowledge concerning the benefit of web-based self-service and highlight success factors and good practice.

These are the winners of the Self Service Awards 2010:

Newcomer of the Year: Norwegian

Reason for Award:

In the category "Newcomer of the Year", the jury has chosen as winner that company which has improved the quality and increased its service in the delivery of IT support with the aid of Noogle - Self Service Portal.

Strategic Internal Support of the Year: the Swedish Red Cross

Reason for Award:

Within the category "Strategic Internal Support of the Year", the jury has selected the winner which, thanks to a well planned strategy, has steered its users to rely on support via web self-service in all day-to-day and recurring support cases. This has led to the winner achieving its objective of raising competence in the organisation - thereby contributing to other organisations meeting their objectives also.

Strategic Customer Support of the Year: Net1

Reason for Award:

In the category "Strategic Customer Support of the Year", the jury has selected the winner that has managed to build up and launch - rapidly and in an efficient manner - its web-based information database that streamlines the information flow to its collaboration partners.

Migration of the Year: Eskilstuna Kommun (Eskilstuna Municipality)

Reason for Award:

In the category "Migration of the Year", the jury has selected the winner for a well-planned and executed migration work in connection both with the changeover to a new technical platform and the introduction of a new Intranet. With the aid of specially tailored text and video guides that are strategically leveraged on the Training Portal from ComAround, the migrations are undertaken smoothly and efficiently with a high service level offered to the users.
