Work has started to convert part of the old Bury to Bolton Railway line into a path for walkers, cyclists and horse riders.
The East Lancashire Railway has today announced that Flying Scotsman will be visiting the Bury based attraction at a dedicated event in January.
Bury Council consists of six towns, Bury, Ramsbottom, Tottington, Radcliffe, Whitefield and Prestwich.
