A major new exhibition exploring man’s impact on climate change will open at Bury Art Museum and Sculpture Centre on Saturday 4 March.
Action plans to make Bury carbon neutral and change the way we live will be outlined in a Climate Change webinar hosted by the council.
Bury has signed up to national and worldwide movements to tackle climate change and become carbon neutral.
Residents, schools and businesses are invited to join in during national Climate Week (4-10 March) and play a part in combating climate change.
Bury Council consists of six towns, Bury, Ramsbottom, Tottington, Radcliffe, Whitefield and Prestwich. Formed in April 1974 as a result of Local Government re-organisation it was one of the ten original districts that formed the County of Greater Manchester. The Borough has an area of 9,919 hectares (24,511 acres) and serves a population of 187,500.
