From 1 January 2013, any owner whose dog has been picked up by the council’s dog warden service as a stray and been taken to the kennels at Manchester Dogs Home will need to pay at the time of pick up or in advance before their dog is released back to them

Bury Council consists of six towns, Bury, Ramsbottom, Tottington, Radcliffe, Whitefield and Prestwich. Formed in April 1974 as a result of Local Government re-organisation it was one of the ten original districts that formed the County of Greater Manchester.
