Join the community conversation and pitch for funding

People that love Bury East or Radcliffe, and have a passion for improving where they live, work or play, are invited to come along to a community cafe event at Derby High School between 11am and 2.30pm on Saturday 18 March.

Everyone attending will have the opportunity to share their knowledge, experience and ideas for creating vibrant, healthy and connected communities where local people can be happy, successful and thrive.

There will also be the chance to pitch and vote for a share of £5,000 funding for local projects that will help boost the health and wellbeing of people living in either Bury East or Radcliffe.

Councillor Tamoor Tariq, cabinet member for communities said:“If you are passionate about Bury East or Radcliffe, come along for a cup of tea or coffee and a cake and talk to us about the aspirations you have for your neighborhood.

“We want to put local people right at the heart of deciding what’s right for where they live, work or play so that together we can start making a real difference to people’s lives and the communities we are part of.

“I’d like to encourage as many community groups as possible to come along and bid for a share of the £5,000 that’s available for local projects.”
