Thousands of young people across the borough seized the chance to play their part in the democratic process and choose a new student to represent the borough as Bury’s Member of Youth Parliament.
"At the present time what leaving the EU means for the people of the UK and residents of Bury is not readily apparent and it may take weeks and months for a clear picture to develop. As a Council we will work hard for the people of Bury to ensure that the changes that will come about as a result of the Brexit vote are managed effectively.
Voters in Bury have backed Leave in the EU Referendum, by 54% to 46%.
Voters are being reminded to make sure they are ready to take part in the UK Parliamentary General election (and local elections) taking place on Thursday 7 May.
Anyone who wants a postal vote for the 7 May General and local elections must apply for one by Tuesday 21 April.
