School children to help Mayor travel to Victorian times

Pupils from Greenhill Primary School are being taken back in time and taking the Mayor with them on Thursday 14 March 2013. As part of the ‘Victorian Variety’ offered by The Fusilier Museum, Bury Art Museum and Bury Transport Museum, pupils will discover what life was like more than 100 years ago.

Communities are coming together through the Fusilier Museum’s brand new project. The five week project is using museum images and uniforms to inspire the Asian Women’s group from the Jinnah Centre to create their own uniform.

This February half term The Fusilier Museum, Moss Street, are offering free family friendly crafts and free face painting. On Wednesday 13th February families are invited to drop in to the museum between 1pm and 3pm to make a mask for Mardi Gras. Masks will be brightly colours and full of feathers.
