Manchester City Favourites to win Group of Death
Champions League newcomers Manchester City will have their European ambitions tested after being drawn with Bayern Munich, Villarreal and Napoli. Despite their lack of Champions League experience Roberto Mancini’s men a 2,20 favourites to win the group at Betclic.
In what is one of the toughest groups drawn City will face a baptism of fire with Bayern Munich 2,40 to top group A with Betclic and Villarreal and Napoli are both eight times the money to win the group.
Group H see’s European giants Barcelona and AC Milan paired together. European Champions Barca are short at 1,25 to top the group, while AC Milan are 3,50 to beat Pep Guardiola’s men to top spot.
Last year’s semi-finalists Real Madrid face a tricky task in Group D. Jose Mourinho’s men face Lyon, Ajax and Dinamo Zagreb and they start 1.25 favourites to win the group.
Inter Milan are strong favourites at 1.50 to top Group B and will have to overcome CSKA Moscow, Lille and Trabzonspur.
The other English clubs had good draws with last season’s runners up Manchester United facing Benfica, Basel and Otelul Galati.
Chelsea new boy Juan Mata will be heading back to Valencia sooner than he thought after both teams were paired together in Group E. The Blues are 1.40 to win a group that also includes Bayer Leverkussen and Genk.
Arsenal face a tough challenge in Borussia Dortmund but the Gunners are slight favourites to top Group F at 2.30.
