La Liga schedule is out – and bookies prepare for a host of bets on Barca and Real

The 2011/2012 La Liga season is just under a month away and with the fixtures for the upcoming campaign just being released bookies are getting ready for a host of bets on Barcelona and Real Madrid.

The Spanish giants are clear favourites for their opening round fixtures and also top the list to become La Liga Champions

BetClic.com published the odds for the opening round this Wednesday, hours after the schedule was presented.

Defending champions Barca travel to Malaga for their opening round fixture and are priced at 1,50 to come away with the win. Jose Mourinho’s Madrid are priced as equally short for when they take on Athletic Bilbao at home on August 21.

But many will go for a Barcelona and Real Madrid double on the opening weekend which pays 1,74.

Barcelona are the favourites to defend their crown next year paying 1,50, while Real Madrid is offered at 2,40 on Betclic.com.

The pair are scheduled to meet in the first ‘Clasico’ of the season at the Bernabeu on the weekend of the 10/11 December with the return clash taking place on the weekend of 21/22 April.

If you can look past Spain’s top two then Valencia and Seville are interesting outsiders priced at 50 times and 100 times the money respectively.

Promoted teams Betis, Rayo Vallecano and Grenada, who returned to the top-flight after 35 years, are priced at 500,00 and 1000,00 times the money.
