NUMSKULL GAMES REVEALS TWO NEW TITLES - GEARSHIFTERS AND TREASURES OF THE AEGEAN, PLUS AN EXCLUSIVE SNEAK PEEK INTO CLIVE ‘N’ WRENCH, AND MORE AT NUMSKULL PRESENTS.
Wednesday, 28 April: Earlier today, Numskull Games announced two forthcoming titles: Gearshifters and Treasures of the Aegean. Announced during the publisher’s third Numskull Presents online showcase, both titles will be available on Nintendo Switch, PS4/PS5, Xbox One/Series X/S, and Steam.
Petrolhead shooter Gearshifters is a dream combination for shoot-em-up and driving fans. The experience is both narrative and action-driven, based on a dystopian future reality. Dodge bullets, perform handbrake turns, and shoot your way to victory.
Treasures of the Aegean is a time-loop adventure where players use parkour gameplay to explore and decipher the secrets of a mysterious island before it explodes. The game’s Bande dessinée aesthetic is inspired by European comics like The Adventures of Tintin and Àsterix, with the narrative similarly borrowing from real-life historic events.
The publisher’s second virtual event of 2021 featured insight into forthcoming 3D platformer Clive ‘N’ Wrench. Creator Rob Wass talked through what inspired the main duo, the nostalgic and wacky worlds players can travel between and their many different traps and puzzles, as well as the story behind Yooka-Laylee’s iconic snake Trowzer’s cameo appearance.
Numskull Games reminded viewers of the free-to-play title Rogue Glitch, a challenging rogue-lite that recently left Steam Early Access, including the addition of the final world, thirteen new items, two new characters, and a Free To Play single-player mode.
Another chance to win rare swag was announced, with two Collectors Editions copies of Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- The Prophecy of the Throne up for grabs. The competition is still open until Wednesday 12 May so head over to the Numskull Games YouTube channel to check out the video and learn how to win the special box set, including an OST soundtrack, steelbook, pin badges, full colour artbook, and the game itself.
Battle Axe has also garnered a huge amount of attention and reviews have begun to come flooding in, with great praise for the pixel art, gameplay, music and nostalgic vibes. Numskull Games showcased an accolades trailer during Numskull Presents which highlighted how well-received the game has been. Clive ‘N’ Wrench

Inspired by genre classics like Spyro the Dragon and Jak & Daxter, Clive ‘N’ Wrench is a rabbit and monkey duo traveling through space and time using a magical 1950s fridge on a quest to undo Clive’s cousin Nancy’s mistake and ultimately thwart the tyrannical Dr Daucus. Jump, roll, hover and spin your way through a whole host of wacky worlds in this nostalgic trip of a title.
Gearshifters

Gearshifters is a dream combination for shoot-em-up and driving fans. Developed by Richard Ogden, of Colin McRae Rally 2.0 and TOCA Championship Racing fame, Gearshifters is both a narrative and action-driven shmup, based on a dystopian future reality. Dodge bullets, perform handbrake turns, and shoot your way to victory across nine fully developed zones and plenty of boss battles.
Rogue Glitch

An ominous entity is warping levels, items and enemies to create a glitchworld. You must play as a humble hero (solo or up to four players) to jump, stomp, wall side and glide in this platforming focused roguelite. Featuring over 80 unique items, seven upgradeable characters each with unique properties and a narrative told through a lovable villain on completion events, this is a challenging game requiring finesse.
Treasures of the Aegean

A non-linear action-adventure game, players must explore and decipher the secrets of a mysterious island to escape from the time loop they’re trapped in. The island is presented as a huge 2D open-world and players can freely roam using smooth parkour mechanics. However, time is ticking as the island is unstable and sinks within a limited amount of time. Inspired by fantasy thriller comics, the game borrows a unique European comic album aesthetic with a plot based on historical events.
