Sumo Nottingham Announces Three New Hires
10 December 2020, Nottingham, UK – Sumo Nottingham, part of Sumo Digital and Sumo Group PLC, has today announced three major new hires for a studio that continues to go from strength to strength in 2020.
Darren Campion will be joining the studio as Executive Producer. Starting out his career in the TV & Film industries as an SFX artist, Darren moved to the games industry 15 years ago. He has since worked at Codemasters, helping to set up their Kuala Lumpar studio and producing the GRID, F1 and DiRT franchises.
Darren joins from Rare having worked on Sea of Thieves, Rare Replay and Kinect Sports Rivals.
Steven Kirby also joins the Sumo Nottingham studio as a Lead Games Designer. With over 16 years of design experience in the video games industry, Steven worked at Frontier Developments PLC, Rebellion, Razorworks and Coyote Developments before becoming part of the Sumo Digital family.
Chris Green joins Sumo Nottingham as Lead Game Designer having previously worked at Hangar 18, Studio Gobo and Climax.
“While this has been a tough year for many, our studio has been fortunate enough to continue developing great games and growing to meet the needs of our clients,” said Gary Edwards, Studio Director at Sumo Nottingham. “We look forward to benefitting from the considerable and valuable experience of Steven, Chris and Darren as we continue work on exciting projects that we can’t wait to reveal to the world.”
Sumo Digital is currently hiring for more than 90 roles across its network of studios including roles in programming, design, QA, audio and art direction.
