ArenaNet launches Friend/Ships

Love is in the air and all month long, ArenaNet has been inviting the Guild Wars 2 community to join them in celebrating Valentine’s Day with the Guild Wars 2 Friend/Ships campaign—a celebration of the lasting friendships and relationships that have been formed and strengthened through the game. As part of this campaign, ArenaNet released a video yesterday showcasing the love story of two Guild Wars 2 players, Nicole and Tyler, who met in game and became engaged after an adventurous courtship and proposal. View their full story here. ArenaNet will be releasing a series of videos in the coming weeks highlighting other friendships that formed in Tyria.

ArenaNet invites all players to share their own experiences on YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, or directly on the Guild Wars 2 Facebook page using #GW2FriendShips or by submitting a story directly through the campaign’s website at guildwars2.com/friendships. If they also use the hashtag #GW2Giveaway when posting, qualifying posts will be entered into a sweepstakes for the chance to win a variety of prizes! 

Players can also unlock a special in-game item by logging in and visiting Lion’s Arch throughout February, and gift their friends 25% off Path of Fire or The Collection by sharing the coupon code ‘GW2FRIENDSHIPS’1 with them.
