Arla Foods amba’s on account price for conventional and organic milk will remain the same for May 2019. This hold means May’s price for the UK manufacturing litre for conventional milk will continue at 30.23 pence and the organic price per litre remains 41.98 pence, for Arla’s farmer owners.
Arla Foods, the UK’s biggest farmer-owned dairy company, has announced that its British owners will receive a total of £64m (70m euros) as their 2018 year-end bonus from a European wide pay-out of £245m (290 euros).

When applied to the UK manufacturing litre, alongside the positive impact of the quarterly currency smoothing mechanism of 0.02 pence, this equates to 1.33 pence per litre, taking the manufacturing price per litre down to 30.24 pence from 1 January 2019 for Arla’s farmer owners.

Arla’s price for conventional milk will increase by 0.32 pence per litre from 1 April, as a result of the last quarter’s average exchange rate being introduced into the cooperative’s currency smoothing mechanism, taking the manufacturing litre to 27.43 pence.
Arla’s price for conventional milk will reduce by 2.16 pence for the manufacturing litre, taking it to 27.11 pence from 1 March 2018.
Arla’s price for conventional milk will reduce by 1.73 pence for the manufacturing litre, taking it to 29.27 pence from 1 February 2018.
