Allianz Insurance confirms director of IT for UK business
Allianz Insurance has appointed David Richards to the role of director of IT.
Reporting to chief operating officer Stephanie Smith, David will be responsible for the delivery of all IT services.
Prior to joining Allianz, David was responsible for the global provision of IT services for MS Amlin as their chief information officer. He had previously led the IT separation and migration programme for Direct Line and a transformation programme for the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. He also enjoyed 11 years at Accenture, the last 2 of which as a senior executive .
For the last 9 months David has been leading the Allianz Insurance IT function in an interim capacity.
Stephanie Smith, chief operating officer, Allianz Insurance commented: “David has been doing a fantastic job and I’m delighted to announce his appointment as the director of IT.
